How did you learn about apprenticeship?

I learned about apprenticeship through Miami Valley Career and Technology Center.

What or who inspired you to pursue apprenticeship?

I wanted to get an early start and have a job right out of high school.

Where do you work and what is your role?

I work for Applied Mechanical Systems as a pre-apprentice.

What are your plans for the next five years?

Within five years, I plan to advance in my career.

Would you recommend apprenticeship to your closest friends?


What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve overcome in your time as an apprentice?

Balancing work and school at the same time is the biggest obstacle I’ve overcome.

What is the best way to attract more talented apprentices like yourself?

Tell them how advanced they can become and how quickly they can build their skills.

What surprised you most about apprenticeship?

The money my son was making.

His skills have greatly improved since beginning this program.
